Managing Difficult Conversations

The Managing Difficult Conversations Course gives you the opportunity to practice difficult conversational situations that may arise at the interface of care, research and teaching. With easy-to-use tools the course will enlarge your skills set to deal with challenging scenarios. In addition to a short theoretical section, the focus is on practical application, so that you can maneuver confidently and competently through difficult conversational situations. There will be an opportunity for you to send in everyday situations before the course, which will then be discussed in the course (optional).

Objectives
  • Step-change your abilities in leading challenging conversations: Learn to advocate for your interests with clarity and impact.
  • Boost your confidence and leadership effectiveness: Get acquainted with easy-to-apply tools, practice those tools in real-live situations and role-model them to your team. Feel free to share relevant challenges you would like to rehearse.
  • Communicate in a clear and crisp manner: Use difficult conversations techniques to learn more about your discussion partner and actively control your share of speaking.
